The NAACP’s annual fundraiser is the Freedom Fund Awards Dinner, which will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at the ITAM lodge on Waubeek Rd. in Pittsfield. The annual Freedom Fund Awards are given out to Berkshire County residents who embody the principles and mission of the NAACP.

This year’s Gold Sponsor of the Freedom Fund Awards Dinner is Greylock Federal Credit Union.

This year we are honored to feature internationally known author and activist Tim Wise as our keynote speaker. Mr. Wise is is among the nation’s most prominent antiracist essayists and educators. He has spent the past 25 years speaking to audiences in all 50 states, on over 1000 college and high school campuses, at hundreds of professional and academic conferences, and to community groups across the nation.

Wise is the author of seven books, including his highly-acclaimed memoir, White Like Me: Reflections on Race from a Privileged Son, as well as Dear White America: Letter to a New Minority, and his latest, Under the Affluence: Shaming the Poor, Praising the Rich and Sacrificing the Future of America.

The evening also features a buffet dinner, silent auction,  and music by the fabulous Wanda Houston Band.
